Mogtrost is a comic book series created by Weyde Rucker Boley in October of 2016. The series follows the adventures of Onkwey and Zephidar who are summoned to different Settings to complete missions and collect Dropz to keep the demon Mogtrost imprisoned in the Abysmal Nexus. A creature named Naden presents them the Shatterhead, a vessel that gives them the Faculties they need to access each world. Mogtrost is an indie comic book self-published by El-4Taire Comics.

Kwalceterez is a webcomic series created by Weyde Rucker Boley in August of 2022.  The series follows the adventures of Eusmo and Taneed who have to solve problems to stay ahead of a mannequin head named Krys who is pursuing them.  Kwalceterez is also an indie project self-published by El-4Taire Comics.  More to come later.

Plot

As of Mogtrost Issue 1, Mogtrost, the demon was summoned by a cult called The Spoonholders into the Setting of Noccu to help them overthrow the monarchy. Mogtrost is imprisoned, frozen in place, by Queen Bastis behind a Window Pane in the Hall of Dread; the other side of the glass is an abyss called the Abysmal Nexus. Onkwey from the city of Atore and Zephidar from the city of Kacik are tricked by a follower of the Spoonholder culture named Nabeese into freeing Mogtrost.

Kwalceterez is still fairly new as a publication.  What is mentioned above is a mild spoiler.  You can read Kwalceterez on the Duck Webcomics and Comic Rocket.

Themes

Mogtrost is considered NSFW (Not Safe For Work) due to some of its themes, all of which are listed on its Wixsite. Mogtrost features Settings; lands of various composition, texture, population and sizes that have at least one source of light, energy or so forth called Beacons. Also featured are Resins; small rock-like particles that are vomited up by women once a month, but can also be vomited up fertile and eventually hatch children. A spotlight is placed on Frayunships, relationships between murderous carriers of the Aftigen Gene called Cannons and submissive, self depreciating carriers of the Rezstelus Gene called Pillows (Onkwey is a carrier of the Aftigen Gene and Zephidar is a carrier of the Rezstelus Gene). Nuclear families are another common theme where the offspring's complexions often differ from each other and can range from pure white to jet black. Some family members can also have anomalies like fangs, horns, inverted eyes, tails, plates, patterned hair, etc. It also features a Black Void that surrounds every Setting and is solid to the touch and much more.

Kwalceterez also shares the anomaly features in its characters.  Eusmo has antennas and Taneed has black metallic teeth and fangs.  They are in a Setting called Kwalceterez that is also surrounded by the Black Void.  Kwalceterez has two Beacons, one named Kwalce and the other named Terez.

Genre Unknown

The overall genre of Mogtrost is unknown. It seemingly falls into the categories of fantasy, comedy, horror, slice of life, mature (adult) content and adventure. Weyde has decided not to overall categorize the series under any particular genre but chose 'fantasy' to list Issue 1 online.

Kwalceterez has less disturbing content than Mogtrost and is focused more on problem solving and humor.  However, Weyde hasn't assigned a genre to Kwalceterez either.

Where

Mogtrost has a plethora of social media links but rarely ever uses them. In an attempt to bring more people back into the fold of brick and mortar comic shops, Weyde Rucker Boley has announced that Issues of Mogtrost will be available POD (Print On Demand) for now but that is subject to change in the future. Issue 1 is visible on the Duck Webcomics and Comic Rocket.  As long as it exists, the Wixsite will most likely always have the most up to date information on where the comics and other items can be attained. However, due to cancel culture and company buyouts, any of the Mogtrost sites can disappear in the future without warning.

Kwalceterez also has a Facebook but no other sites (it had an Instagram and Twitter but you can read about it on the Cancellations Across The Web page).  Kwalceterez is hosted in a page on the Official Mogtrost Wixsite.  Kwalceterez does not have its own website.
